Car Owner Policy
Last updated: February 2026
Listing eligibility
You must be the registered owner (RC must match your name) or hold valid Power of Attorney.
Car must be ≤ 10 years old at time of listing.
Comprehensive insurance must be valid for the full lease tenure.
RC, insurance, and pollution certificates must be uploaded during listing.
Listings without valid RC + insurance documents will be rejected at inspection.
Maintenance & wear
Routine service (10,000 km / 6 months) is fully managed and paid by ZeroLease.
Major repairs (engine, transmission) outside normal usage are also covered.
Cosmetic wear is expected and not chargeable to the lessee unless caused by abuse.
All servicing is done at authorised service centres and logs are sent to you monthly.
Payments & payouts
Monthly payout = monthly_lease × 85% (we retain 15% as platform + maintenance fee).
Payouts are credited to your bank account on the 5th of every month.
Token amounts paid by lessees are settled to you once the agreement is signed.
GST and TDS handling: we issue you Form 16A annually if applicable.
Damages & insurance claims
Every lessee pays a security deposit at agreement signing (held by us, not by you).
Damages caused by lessee abuse are first claimed via insurance, then from the security deposit.
You will be notified and shown evidence (photos / GPS / service report) before any claim.
Insurance NCB protection: we never void your No Claim Bonus without your written consent.
Owners cannot independently retrieve their car during an active lease without 30-day notice.
Lessee privacy
We only share lessee name, phone, email, and address AFTER payment is received and agreement is signed.
You agree not to use lessee details for any purpose outside this lease.
Direct contact with lessees regarding payments / disputes must go through us.
Termination
You can pull a car off the platform with 30 days notice after the current lease ends.
Pulling a car during an active lease is prohibited and may result in damages liability.
ZeroLease may delist a car for serious issues (failed inspection, fraud) with full notice.
